Perfect. We will do this again. Super comfortable beds and large living areas. Positive: The house if beautiful. The updated bathroom is greatly appreciated. It is quiet, enough out of town, but only a block away from the neighborhood cafe/coffee shop. The beds were extremely comfortable and enough quilts were provided for folks like me who tend to always feel cold, even in the summer. I loved the armoir with a sort of makeup mirror setup and stool in the primary bedroom. This is such a needed touch! I loved the hooks by the door to hang your jackets. The kitchen is stocked with lovely things to make our meals so relaxing; and wow, that huge dining table! The kitchen was gorgeous, large, with wonderful appliances. We could relax quite a bit given all of these things in between plays at the OSF. I also very very much appreciated a place to store our luggage after checkout. Very very appreciate it. I also appreciate the lengths to get us an early checkin which we also greatly needed even if it were to just store our luggage. The water heater made the bath very hot and given the size that was necessary but also it was wonderful to take a bath in calming hot water. I think this was a very professional offering because you thought of everything one would need. Negative: The bathroom was missing a bathmat that is slip proof for us old folks. Also, the bathtub is placed oddly, and requires alot to step in to and step out of. You have to step into it in order to plug the drain. Then you get out. Where you get out, the side is sloped (which is super nice for long baths) so where you one foot has to be is two feet over and then 3 feet down to the floor, making it necessary to so a crazy maneuver to get out of the bath, legs wide with weight on a couple of pointed toes, hoisting over but then not being able to put the other foot on the floor unless you scoot in that position around 9 inches of distance; essentially not possible to do it safely, especially if that one or two toes that are your only stability is in water and on slippery.

Best Property We Could Have Chosen For Our Stay In Ashland! Positive: What did I like? Everything. This is the best rental property in which I have ever stayed. It could not have been nicer. The house was absolutely beautiful and way better than the lovely pictures conveyed. Cozy, comfy, great views, close to town with a coffee shop a few houses away. I went out walking to town every morning which was just so quaint and charming. Loved all those mountains. It's an easy walk into town with all the amenities. Tried some fantastic restaurants as well right in town. We drove to a winery that was excellent and did some scenic touring as well. Since we were in town for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, it was a perfect location as well....easily walkable. On the front porch, we were able to sit and relax while watching deer and baby fawns stroll up and down the street. The house itself was just the best. The antique furniture, the beautiful buffet filled with the prettiest dishes and silver.....every detail was to perfection. I know that if I ever come back to Ashland, I will be staying here, and I have already recommended it to those who I know are coming before the end of the OSF season. Thank you to the wonderful, helpful company that manages Barclay-Klum House. Negative: What didn't I like? Leaving

Excellent in every way! Positive: Gorgeous 1880s house on a large lot near historic neighborhood. Immaculately renovated, decorated, and clean. Comfortable beds. Plenty of hot water for soaking tub and showers. Spacious in every room. Kitchen would be great to cook in (we didn't). Excellent, responsive communication with customer-service-oriented property manager. Easy access. A block away from cool neighborhood coffee shop. Would definitely stay here again. Negative: E. Main St.is a main thoroughfare, so this house is not on a quiet, tucked-away side street. Despite that, we weren't impacted by street noise. Although it was a hassle to open and close the gate everytime we entered or exited the property, we recognize the fencing is important relative to the deer (yes, they were there) and it gave us a feeling of security.

We loved having this house as our home base during our time at OSF. Positive: We loved how comfortable and spacious it was. It is a lovely combination of old and new. Modern comfort with antique ambience. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The walk to town was perfect. Negative: Some of the decor was cheap and didn’t fit the rest of the house. More side tables in the living room would have been nice.

Love it! We want to come back! Positive: Beautiful and interesting property! I love details and there were so many interesting notes about this gem. The choices in decor were really fun and the beds were sooooo comfy. At first I thought…oh oh, too soft. But both my dad and I passed out and slept so well. It was also nice to have separate bedrooms. I am so sad we didn’t have enough time to try out the amazing soaking tub :( Whoever stays here next HAS to use the tub. There are some stairs to get up to the door which was a lot for heavy luggage and a dad who isn’t too stable on his feet, but we didn’t care. It was worth it. Location was also great. Lots of practical things provided for you in the really cool kitchen. I hope we get to stay here a bit longer in the future. Negative: Nothing to dislike. I asked ahead of time so we knew we’d be trekking up some stairs. So, nope…nothing to dislike!
